Suggest Treatment For Stomach Virus And Loss Of Appetite

I have had a stomach virus for about 2 days now. I threw up for about 14 hours at first, but haven t in about 24 hours. I can t bring myself to eat much, but I have been drinking water and gatorade. About two hours ago, I started feeling intense pain in my lower back and abdomen, which makes it hard for me to walk. The pain is dulled but is still there when I sit down. I feel nauseous when I lay down. Should I go to the ER?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a stomach virus. I suggest using a spasmolytic such as Buscopan to relieve the stomach pain. I also suggest using daily probiotics. I recommend ti eat a plain diet and drink liquids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
