i HAVE A 9 YEAR OLD BOY THAT DOES NOT FEELING WHEN HE NEEDS TO POO AND WE DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO HE IF FINE DURING SCHOOL HOURS AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY ACCIDENTS BUT WHEN WE ARE OUT AS A FAMILY OR HE IS HERE AT HOME IT HAPPENS , TH FAMILY DOCTOR CANT FIND A REASON WHY AND WE ARE WORRIED WITH THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR STARTING SOON IT WILL HAPPEN AT SCHOOL AND HE WILL BE UNWELCOME
As per my clinical experience, the chronic constipation is usual presentation for stool incontinence in a child of 9 years, which pause after loaded colon condition. The guidelines for such condition: - Allow him plenty of liquids - Prefer high fiber diet with green leafy veg, cereals, pulses, legumes, whole grains - Avoid all dairy fat, cheesy items - Bulk forming laxatives as Ispaghula husk - Check that he chews his food thoroughly - Get regular check on his weight and height growth chart - Keep vaccination schedule up to date - Regular aerobics, swimming or other likelihood activities Keep in regular follow up with his pediatrician for best results.
