Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having severe ear problems. The pain is inside my ear traveling down to my neck. I also have strep throat, but my left ear is the worst pain I've ever had in my life. I even feel weak and can barely move. Every time I burp my ear pop and the pain worsens.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain ear ache travelling down the neck seems to be most probably due to ear infection and popping can be due to eustachian tube dysfunction secondary to ear infection.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like otoscopy, x ray etc can help in diagnosis.. He can be advised antibiotic and analgesic ear drops along with oral antibiotics and painkillers and at times manual drainage of ears along with placement of pressure equalization tubes can be placed for relief....
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
