My 4 year old has been sick off and on for 4 weeks. She started out with strep throat and a viral infection. She ran fever of 102 off and on for a week. She took 10 days of antibiotic. At the end of the 10 days her left lymph node behind her ear became extremely swollen. She then was put on another antibiotic for the node and her white count was still elevated. About 4 days into medicine her right node did the same thing. After 10 days of this antibiotic she started with 102.3 fever again. Dr. drew blood and she still had viral infection. The fever lasted 4-5 days. Her fever finally broke and she began with cough and congestion. This past Thursday she had diarrhea and vomiting. She was fine yesterday and is now complaining of stomach ache and her temperature is around 97.3. Should we go back to doctor or wait it out? I don t know what to do. She only weighs 35 lbs. but is usually pretty healthy. I have never had a child sick this long. Please help.
