Suggest Treatment For String Like Discharge From The Vagina

When I was taking out my tampon, it got stuck and it was very painful but I ended up pulling it out. Afterwards though I noticed a string-like piece of skin attached to my vagina and kinda just hangs there but it has never been there before. I plan on going to the doctor soon but I'm just curious and worried what it is or how to fix it or if it can be removed?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As a physician, I would like to tell you that the piece or string must be of a mucus and you have nothing to worry about. Visit your physician, let him have a look at it and if necessary, he will remove it. Also, try not to overuse the tampons.

Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice day.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
