Suggest Treatment For Strong Odor From Skin & Urine
I sometimes get a strong odor in my urine and skin. My family does not smell it but I do. It is not from my mouth. It is worse when my bowels are backed up due to IBS. But not the only time I get this smell. My doc had to put her nose right on my skin to smell it. She suggested a food log to see if it was what I eat. I do not think so since my ibs limits my food to bland foods. Any ideas on what it could be from. I feel like I am "toxic" and it grosses me out.
Everyone has a specific odor of themselves. Odor from urine could be a sign of infection or specific disease like Alkaptonuria. In which the urine smells like Maple syrup. Skin odor could be due to excessive sweating, taking bath two to three times a day, and using deodorant and perfumes should help. For IBS you need to stick to the diet chart provided by your doctor to prevent symptoms.
