Suggest Treatment For Stuffy Nose And Sharp Chest Pain

I have a stuffy nose, very tired and sharp chest pain on the right side of my chest when I cough. I just recently came back from camping where I had the chills one night and around dust and campfire. I feel and sound like I have a cold. Lots of sneezing and blowing my nose even tho it s stuffy. I m concerned about pneumonia even tho I ve had my shot. Should I go to doc or weather the cold?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your description, I am of the opinion that you have respiratory tract infections. Antibiotics such as Amoxicillin along with Betadine gargle in lukewarm water. Anti-allergics such as levocetirizine along with montelukast is also advised. Steam inhalation will be very beneficial. Do these things and revert back to us for follow up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
