Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a bad smell in my nose for the past 7 months. In those 7 months I had my wisdom teeth removed, a root canal, a reactivation of mononucleosis, and bad allergies. My nose is still stuffy and I blow it a lot, but the worst part for me is that it has pretty consistently had a chemical or pus smell. I ve been on antibiotics and steroids for different things and neither has helped.
Advice 1. Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral for 7 days 2. Cefixime 100 mg every 12 hours per oral for 7 days 3. Ambroxol 30 mg daily per oral for 7 days 4. Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily 5. Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment and spicy food 6. Investigation – X – ray PNS 7. Consult an ENT specialist for general examination of your nasal passage Thanks
