Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, my name is janea i am 21 years old. 2014 i was diagnosed with pseudo-tumor and November of 2016 i had a vp shunt placement. However according to my nuero-optyologist my optic nerves are still getting worse. However, i am getting these severe sudden headaches where it feels like my world is ending like there is nothing else to do but grab my head until the pain stop. I can barely open my eyes. What could this be? Is the shunt bad? Is this something i should tell my surgeon?

Suggest Treatment For Sudden Headache
Hello, The symptoms are more consistent with conditions like neuritis. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
