Suggest Treatment For Sudden Loss Of Hearing Upon Standing

When I stand up from a sitting position, I suddenly lose my hearing and it throbs in and out with my heartbeat for a minute or so until it returns. I am fairly fit and active, 47, being treated for hypothyroidism, have longstanding sensorineural deafness - hearing returns to a level that is normal for me afterwards.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hi
you have hearing loss on change in position of your head ,this can be due to various causes like glomus tympanicus, secretory otitis media etc.
but to rule these conditions out a detailed evaluation of you along with a proper examination and history taking is mandatory.
so i would suggest you to visit an ent specialist and seek proper help.
regards
