Suggest Treatment For Sudden Onset Of Chills While Suffering From Shingles

Subsequent to back surgery and the onset of Shingles, my father is exhibiting episodic and sudden onset of a deep coldness in the body. Hands and feet turn white and almost impossible to get an oxygen reading. Was treated with antibiotics for an elevated white blood cell count but is currently normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think he should get acyclovir to treat shingles. Also, take a multivitamin to bust the immune system knowing that he had several infections recently.

Use acetaminophen for pain relief and fever. Use any antihistamines such as Benadryl or Cetirizine for itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
