Suggest Treatment For Sudden Weakness In Both Arms For A 69-year-old
My wife, age 69, has been experiencing sudden weakness in both arms that lasts only a few minutes. It starts at shoulders and goes down her arms to her hands. This has occurred about 3-4 times in the last few months. She has rheumatoid arthritis, normal BP. and is under a great deal of stress due to her sister and granddaughter having life-threatening illnesses. Thank you Scott Rawdin YYYY@YYYY

Hello, It could be a TIA (transient Ischemic attack) or mini stroke. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. An MRI scan may be required for further assessment. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best. Thank you. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
