Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You woke this morning with burning sensation to your face similar to a sun burn but you were not out in the sun. This is not shingles as shingles usually is only on one side of your body and not on both and it is accompanied by severe pain with blisters. It is possible that you are having an allergic reaction to something that you came in contact with your skin or you may have the beginnings of a facial infection. I would recommend at this early stage to take an NSAID like ibuprofen to help with the burning. If your symptoms worsen then you may need to be seen by your medical provider
