Suggest Treatment For Sweating And Dehydration

My wife was diagnosed with Influenza A while on a recent boat cruise in the south Pacific . The cruise ship had just come from America . She was hospitalised for 6 days on returning to Australia and put on IV drips due to dehydration for a number of days . Since leaving hospital she has been still sweating and feeling very flat . Has managed a few walks however I would say she is about 45% of her normal self .Still unable to return to her casual job . i am a remedial masseur and have treated her with MLD massage , Gua Sha , tapotement etc to help remove toxins from her thoracic region . She is 53 yo and takes 40mg micardis daily for hypertension . Normally a very active healthy person who had a successful Ablation for AF 3 years ago . Are you able to help with some advice please

Hi,

It takes two weeks around to recover fully from viral infections. So don't worry. To gain energy and fast recovery give her soup, fluids and light diet. Avoid strenuous work.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. SOHEEL HUSSAIN ZARGAR, Dentist
