Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Bruise On The Fingers
Hi so i got checked out on Monday for my wristat a clinic and got x rays it turned out normal but my pain is getting worse it s getting more swollen and bruised. My fingers are numb and wen they touch something i can t feel anything. I don t know what to do
It would be good if you could mention how this started. Did you get an injury before the wrist was swollen?
It sounds like you have compression over the wrist and the forearm which can cause swelling to the area. This swelling would cause numbness, and tingling over the area.
A vascular cause or a reduction in blood supply can cause these symptoms and it would be a good idea to see a General Surgeon. The Surgeon would be able to help to get to the cause and may suggest an Ultrasound or a Doppler help you get to the cause.
Once the cause is known, surgery or medication can be used to promote blood flow or to reduce the swelling.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni, General & Family Physician
