Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pain In The Ankle And Toes
My husband started having pain in left ankle last weekend. No redness or swelling. Assumed it was gout as he has a hx. Called m.d. got px for Indomethacin. On it for four days. Felt somewhat better this a.m and by the time he got home foot, toes and ankle were very swollen and very painful. Any ideas?
An aneurysm occurs when an artery weakens. An aneurysm that occur near the surface of the body, commonly show signs of swelling and pain. There may be an increased heart rate and feeling of lightheaded.
Coming to your case as per your complaints you had not mentioned any swelling. If you have any swelling, it can be an aneurysm then immediately consult your doctor for treatment (Endovascular stent graft). If there is no swelling the pain could be due to other causes. (deep vein thrombosis, nerve irritation like sciatica).
To know exact cause you have to go for: 1. Radiological examination 2. Neurological tests (nerve conduction tests)
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vamsi Krishna Chittimoju
