Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Redness On The Toes

On the 19th of August I jumped up to kill a bug in our house. I landed the wrong on my right foot on the outside edge where the pinky toe is and rolled it. There was swelling and redness for about two days. There is no bruising I still have a small amount of swelling when I am on my foot all day. Also I still have trouble walking long distance and putting weight on it. Could this be a fracture? or just a sprain?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi there.

Ice the toe. Keep your limb elevated. If it is painful to wali on, do a buddy strapping with the adjacent toe. Use hard soled shoes to walk. If the pain persists after a couple of weeks, get an Xray and consult your Orthopaedic surgeon.
