Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Tingling Of Eyelid Due To Blepharitis

I am 57, female. I have suffered with a strange eye problem for 7-8 years and it's getting worse. My left eyelid swells up to the point that I almost can't see. I have gone to my eye dr for a long time and he has said I have blepharitis and am allergic to something. I stopped wearing eye make up years ago. The swelling has happened, I think, when I am expose to pollen - on a rainy day, windy and it's now happening in my house when I eat certain foods (I think) certain red wine, ice cream with nuts. The reaction is swift. I feel a slight tingling above my eye lid and the swelling quickly follows. If it was air born-caused, I can sometimes lessen the swelling with visine allergy drops and ice. If it's from food I am powerless to stop it. The swelling can last for 2 days. I look like a freak. I can't leave the house and have had to miss work.. I am desperate for a solution. I wash my face several times a day with cold water. The swelling happens 6-7 times a month. My left eye lid is so stretched out, I may have to have eye lid surgery in the future because it is starting to affect my field of vision. I am healthy and take no medications. Please help me.
