Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Arm Caused After An Injury

I have road rash on my forearm from a bicycle accident that occured on Sunday. It seemed to be healing well, but today I road my mountain and the jarring from the rough going made my arm really hurt. Tonight it is swollen and is hot to touch as if I have an infection. What can I do tonight to help this situation? I could send you a picture of my arm if it would help. The scrape looks as if its healing well.
