24 yo male presenting with pain in feet/ankles (difficulty walking); swollen hands and feet; purple rash that doesn t itch and when it starts to go away looks like a bruise. Symptoms began in early July and do go away, but come back. Symptoms are returning more frequently (was 3 weeks between and now 2). ER physicians keep putting on antibiotics and referring to different types of specialist.

Such veins break easily and hematomas may occur even after minor trauma. It should be treated as usual with ice compresses, resting, bandages with pressure, and elastic stockings.
