Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Knees, Wrist And Fingers For A 30-year-old Mother
Hi, my wife is 30 years old. She under went c section during delivery of my son in Oct 15. She had everything normal during the course of pregnancy. But she started complaint of muscular pain in April 2016 and consequently pain in joints with swelling in knees, wrist, fingers etc with high uric acid I.e 6.71.till then RF was negative. She has been declared RA positive in June 2016. Pls advise the course of better treatment if in allopathy or Ayurveda.there is no genetic history of RA in family.
hi.. in RA treatment goal is towards pain , stiffness and swelling control along with prevent further damage of joint. 1. for symptoms NSAIDS like ibuprofen or celecoxib used.. 2. for prevent damage to joint corticosteroids like prednisolone or methylprednisolone are given. 3.DMARDS drugs used for disease modification ..for that methotrexate , sulfasalazine or cyclophosphamide used. 4. newer drugs like TOFACITINIB - are used 5. surgery is the last option. so.. there are multiple treatment plans for RA.. you must consult RHEUMATOLOGIST for your physical examination and according the suitable treatment. take care.
