Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Feet

I have been experiencing swollen feet for about two weeks now. symptoms are reduced when taking Triampterine, a diuretic prescribed for a previous medical issue, which has been eliminated. My endo- crinologist , however has told me to discontinue since it is hard on the kidneys . Having done so, the swelling has returned. I am also a type 2 diabetic taking METFORMIN ( 1,000 MGS TWICE daily ) along with Glimeperide. My fasting blood sugar numbers are between 125 and 140. Could this edema be caused by the Glimeperide? There is no pain and I have no peripheral neuropathy.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if it is the lower limb edema and doe not have any renal disease or renal function test are unremarkable then it may not be kidney disease and even may not be due to diabetes, some time it may be due to some low hemoglobin, cardiovascular disease, blood circulation disturbances hope this information helps.
