Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Fingers And Wrist

I have been having a catch in my ring finger for several month. About a month ago I woke up one morning with my whole hand fingers and wrist swollen and was not able to close my hand. It is very painful to use my hand. I take ibuprophin whenever it is necessary nearly every day. Have mentioned it to my doctor when it was only my finger. But have not been back since my whole hand is hurting.
