Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Foot

I have bruising on the top of me two feet. I have diabetes and I have worn saddles with foot straps throughout this hot summer. After a day of wearing the shoes my feet are swollen. Can the bruising just be caused by the shoes and swelling or should I be concerned because of the the diabetes?

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
Bruising on feet may be caused your shoes. However, given the fact you are diabetic, infection of the bruises is possible and treatment may be very challenging if it happens.I will recommend good hygiene, avoid putting on tight shoes, and have your blood glucose under control.
As for the swelling, just observe and elevate legs while lying as it may be caused by the bruises. If symptoms persist, you see the Doctor for evaluation.
Hope this will help
Best regards
