Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Tongue And Difficulty In Swallowing
My son unfortunatrly smokes marijuana &THC OILS STUPID TEENwith addictive situations.he us now going to er because his tongue has been swelling &cant even swslliw or eat...I know there are many otger substances in the stuff he skokes can he be alkergic anf or have tocic build ip ftom otger ingredients in the narijuana.
As per your complain the symptoms of swelling in tongue along with difficulty in swallowing can be most probably due to allergic reaction to the chemical substances present in the recreational drugs and also due to smoke and heat that irritates the mucosa leads to swelling and also throat tightening and difficulty in swallowing is due to inflammation and pain..
I would suggest you to consult an Addiction medicine Specialist and get him evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and blood tests can be done for diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
If all the vitals are normal he can be given anti allergics and steroids to reduce swelling.. Warm saline gargles and sucking ice pops can also help in reducing pain and swelling..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
