General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Hitting the floor while kicking the ball and causing swelling of the leg indicates that there is a chance of fracture or ligament injury somewhere unless proved otherwise. Hence, it is mandatory to have an urgent X-ray of the leg and foot in two different views. If there is a fracture then you need stabilization by cast. If there is no fracture then you need slab, support and rest also. Take a PPI Like Omeprazole and Ibuprofen if it suits you. Consult an orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation and proper management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
