Suggest Treatment For Swelling On Buttocks After Injury

Hi i fell down some stairs 2 weeks ago and I havea large knot and a large amount of swelling on my buttox, i am taking antibiotics but it seems that the pain is getting worse with a stinging and burning sensation. What is the name of this bruise and what are your suggestiions it hurts to sit an lay on and very tender to the touch

You might have injured your coccyx. That is that little bone that juts out where once long time back our ancestors had tails. You can sleep face down or on your side. Try a combination of ice packs on the affected area. Also you can apply diclofenac based gel on the bruised area. You can also sit on those donut shaped cushions that help take the load off that bone while sitting.
