Hi..
Can understand your concern..
I have gone through your question and can understand your worry and concern..
As per your complain trauma to the gums and lip has led to rupture of small blood vessels leading to spillage of blood into the soft tissues leading to
hematoma formation and swelling..
Due to this there is swelling as well as purple discolouration.
The hematoma does not subside so immediately and takes time.. You should give him
cold and warm packs alternatively (warm pack for a few minutes followed by cool packs) for faster reduction in swelling and discolouration..
In case of pain you can give
crocin syrup 1 teaspoon or
flexon can also be helpful..
Slowly the swelling and discolouration will reduce..
In case of an open would you can apply antiseptic cream to prevent infections.
Hope your query is solved..
