Suggest Treatment For Swelling On The Back Of Throat

The left side of my throat/tongue has been swollen for a couple of weeks. I assumed it was due to drinking, but it is still there. It hurts to swallow at times and I can feel it is irregular with my fingers. It is at the area where the tongue connects to the back of the throat

I have read your query swelling on back of throat can be due to strep throat infection or tonsilitis . For this I will suggest you to consult Ent surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation . Inmeantime I will suggest you to do warm saline gargle 2 -3 times a day .
