Suggest Treatment For Swelling On The Knee

I twisted my knee. Have some swelling. Been a couple of weeks and still hurts when I wake up or in one position too long or walk a lot. It is more sore the sharp pain. Feel it on top inside of my knee. Treating with ice. Was going to get a brace of compression sleeve. Leaving on vacation in one day. Suggestions on brace or sleeve?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You should consider the brace, the compression sleeve may possibly exert too much pressure on the area.

You can consider trying warm therapy since the injury is weeks old. Rest and the use of anti inflammatory medication may also be helpful eg naproxen or ibuprofen.

If there is no improvement then you may need to see a doctor for assessment and treatment

I hope this helps
