Suggest Treatment For Swelling, Tightness And Soreness In Left Temple

my left temple is sore to the touch and the vein seems slightly swollen every now and then it pulsates and causes tightness our pain. about a month ago I experienced for 3 weeks in a row a headache and the doctors gave me motrin 600 mg for it. it did help but now I have this problem. Should I be worried what should I do?

Your symptoms may be related to a temporal arteritis or tension type headache.

I recommend you to consult a neurologist, have a careful physical examination and blood tests for inflammation. A biopsy may be needed.

Temporal arteritis is a serious condition which can lead to loss of vision if not diagnosed and treated with steroids.
If the above tests result normal, it is just a tension type headache, which is benign.
