Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am 22 I have got a swelling under my left ear going onto my jaw it seems to be a lymhnode I have been to my doctor who said I ve nothing to worry about after doing blood tests and giving me Antibiotics my bloods came back perfect. I recently had an mri on my throat and all seemed clear just a few swollen lymph nodes but the one under my ear will not go away and is very swollen. What does this sound like?
It seems you are too worried. It is common to have some lymph nodes palpable in neck, axilla or groin. These needs evaluation and treatment only if it is >1cm in diameter, is tender to touch, or is progressively enlarging in size.
Your doctor has reassured you after examining, your blood work and MRI has all been normal.Anything to be worried should be caught up by these. So nothing to worry. Just be relaxed
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
