Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently got back from Uganda. On my last night there I woke up with a swollen eye, loss of vision, and pain. This was 1 week ago. Since that time, the pain and swelling have gone down and the vision is better but not perfect. I have seen an ophthalmologist who thinks it was b/c I have been wearing contacts at night. It seems crazy to me that this would have nothing to do with being in Uganda where I handled poop of several different species and was exposed to god knows what. Are there infectious disease eye specialists?
