Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
MY HAND WAS HURTING AND THEN BECAME VERY SWOLLEN, AS IF YOU SLIGHTLY BLEW UP A RUBBER GLOVE. NOW 3 YEARS LATER MY ELBOW ON THE SAME SIDE HAS BEEN HURTING ALONG WITH MY HAND. I FIND IT HARD TO GRIP THINGS OR PICK UP EVEN A JUG OF MILK. WHAT ARE THESE SYMPTOMS OF? TLY
To answer your questions i ll like to have some more information
your age ? your gender ? which side left or right ? any other illness you are suffering from at present ? any medication you are using ?
would like to have a picture of the swelling ?
From the available information in your question as above , my advice is that the pain is beyond your tolerance limits and disturbing your day to day activities then take some simple pain killers for few days , for example tab paracetamol 500 or tab ibuprofen 400 with 8 hours interval ( 3 times in a day ) and after food (not on empty stomach) provided you are not allergic to these medications ,for 3 days . second thing is that do some physical exercises of your hand and elbow for at least 5 minutes every 2-3 hours for a week so . if getting some improvement the continue further these exercises for a month .
if you dont get any improvement then better to see a medical doctor nearby .
Thank you
