Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Knee

Hii, I am moumita bose, 25 yrs old.. I have found aso titre (400 mg) after blood test.. I have pain in upper knee joint.. I found my right leg from knee to feet become fat & painful. How i reduce the aso titre level?? Is it curable or it is a lifelong disease?? Which type of medicines can i take for aso titre??

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Your ASO titre is high so you can have streptococcal infection .....

It is treatable with antibiotic specific to it like that of amoxyclav. ...

Here as you are having leg edema I advise you to get your urine examined along with USG abdomen to rule out glomerulonephritis if present....
For that along with antibiotic steroid also given .....

So it is treatable ....Clinical follow up done regularly .....

Maintain immunity with balanced diet ....

If edema more diuretic can be given like hydrochlorothiazide .....

Consult physician for examination and accordingly investigation ..
