Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I broke my 2nd toe 4 weeks ago by stubbing it on a bed. I went to A&E and had an x-ray and it was confirmed broken. The doc taped it to my big toe and I was advised to do this for the next 3-4 weeks which I have done. I am a runner and was advised not to run for 6-8 weeks as I would cause a stress fracture and I have followed this advice. I am now concerned as I m now 4 weeks down the line and my toe is still very swollen and painful to walk on...is this normal? should I revisit the doc?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms may not be normal one but this is the consequences of injury rest would be important here, and not need to worry about this, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
