I have a vein on my right wrist on the outside where your wrist bends down. I recently had an IV in this wrist 3 weeks ago when I was in the hospital due to a c section delivery for my son. Since then the area has been swollen and very painful. Its not bruised but it is tender to the touch and there is a knot on top of my vein. Any suggestions on to help the pain or what could be causing it? Thanks.
