Suggest Treatment For Swollen Ankles, Feet And Legs For A 70-year-old

My ankles feet and legs below my knees and a little above my legs started swelling suddenly over the past few weeks, also my hands and fingers started severe swelling. I am a 70-year-old-female, will be 71 on July 8. A little before my swelling began I began to experience a dry cough. My doctor told me to stop Lysinipril (not getting the correct spelling). The cough is much worse, need almost constant use of inhaler, had only used it during exercise before. So, little sleep, much pain breathless. Had an appointment in August but called the doctor and he said to come in this morning. Thought what the, uh, heck, contact you too. Couldn t hurt. Thank you so very much.

Hello

I am sorry for your situation .However according to the history you provide in my opinion you should absolutely see your doctor to do a check up a chest x ray and an ECG. After having the results it would be the cause.

Regards

DR.Jolanda
