Suggest Treatment For Swollen Eyelids After An Injury
My husband fell asleep on the couch and rolled over and hit his head (eyebrow bone). It swelled a little and was red. When he woke up this morning the bump was still there and was hard in the center but his upper eyelid was swollen so bad it was almost swollen shut. What should we do and should he go to work? He drives a forklift.
Hello and welcome to health care magic community . I m really concerned about this issue and very sorry about this incident . I think ice is the best answer to reduce swelling , and if it is on the increase you should go to ER to asses about vision and extent of injury . however , it appears it's not serious and it's very common in my clinic that people come with such injuries and almost 100 % go away satisfied without serious trauma to eye . actual problem is work , I think he should take 2-3 days rest because his nature of job requires good vision and alertness . Also do use Advil / ibuprofen to minimize swelling and pain . As an alternative medicine , Use a pinch of turmeric in hot glass of milk to hasten recovery . Hope I have answered your question .Any follow up questions will be welcome .
