Suggest Treatment For Swollen Feet And Ankles When Diagnosed With MS
I have MS, am wheelchair-bound, but walk (with my walker) when someone is around just in case . Both my feet and ankles are swollen inspite of compression stockings and putting my feet up whenever I can. Is this anything to worry about? Also, can the swollenness be remedied so putting on shoes is not so difficult? Frustrated in Westfield, N J

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your health information suggests a through health check up for
- General health,Heart, liver &kidney health by an expert physician.
-A 4D USG scan would exclude/ find deep veins health, vericosities.
* you should start doing physical activities even being in wheel chair as per advise of your treating doctor.
Continue with the medicines prescribed & start having ideal life style as far as possible &be positive.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
