Suggest Treatment For Swollen Finger And Pain On Arm After Dog Bite

Hello....I was bitten by a dog yesterday. Only one puncture wound on the left ankle with moderate bleeding. But today I woke up with a swollen finger and pain and weakness in my right arm. Should I go to the doctor? There is no redness or swelling or streaking around the bite

Hello, thank you for your contact to healthcare magic if I am your doctor I suggest you to take antirabies shots, tetanus shots. Antibiotics for local infections like cefixime. Analgesics like acevlofenac along with seratopeptidase. Do not take stitches over the wound. Swelling on the wound is probably because of infections. Take this drug under doctors advice. If you have to ask anything else kindly contact me. Dr.Arun Tank. Infectious disease specialist. Thank you.
