Suggest Treatment For Swollen Legs And Abdomen While Having Stage-4 Lung Cancer

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on his 72 birthday , Christmas Day. he did his first round of radiation and chemo but the cancer went to his spine L2. Dads done his second round of chemo but by the end of it he became bed ridden from his back. After getting dad scanned it appeared the cancer in his lung had decreased in size and the other one some of the smaller tumors had disappeared. The Dr stopped chemo due to dad being bed ridden, we found a Dr at UAB that fixed dads back but he had a seizure during surgery and stayed unresponsive for a week. It took dialysis to finally bring him around, he spent 3 weeks in that hospital before he requested to get closer to home. They had taken him off dialysis a week before we left that hospital , dr said kidneys looked much better. Came to a closer hospital , stayed in it for another week. Dads cancer Doctor sent him home with hospice said he had tumors in the fatty tissue around his stomach. Dad never got rehab to try out his new back but he still has a desire to live. He has a feeding tube down his nose because it hurts when he eats. His stomach is swollen and legs are, just wondering will massaging his legs and trying to work them help with the swelling. I was hoping to get him where he could set and possible ride on his land one last time. The Dr at UAB was going to place him in rehab if we had stayed but dad wanted to get closer to home and now we are told he only has weeks. Big difference in getting rehab to weeks to live. Thank you
