Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node On Base Of The Hair Line
I have had a swollen lymph node at the base of my hair line. I have had it for several months and am on my second course of antibiotics ( for a unrelated cat bite). The dr. tested my blood and it came back normal but my lymph node isnt getting better. It chages sizes daily (more swollen at the end of the day) I am also often dizzy. I have a good appetite, I do not have unexplained weight loss and i dont get headaches often. Should i be concerned?
Hello, I'm Dr. Jay and i will try my best to help you with your querry.
the causes of swollen lymph nodes vary from simple dandruff to latent infections like TB etc. From your history and from the location it seems its related to the scalp or any upper facial infections. a common cause of swollen LN near hairline is Dandruff. please make sure you dont have any dandruff or other scalp conditions.Management needs to be concentrated on the cause if no cause is evident, and if the size of th node is enlarging, then i suggest to get a LN biopsy to determine the cause.
