Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node, Sore Throat And Muscle Weakness
Wondering about mono, my daughter had it 3 yrs ago very badly. I was definitely exposed to bodily fluids. I have been sick for 3 was now with swollen lymph nodes , sore throat and some minor muscle weakness. They gave me a penicillin for my throat and I exploded into a red burning rash on my face. They said I was allergic to it but I m 49 yrs and have never been allergic before. So my question is should I request a mono test?
I think this is not related to mononucleosis infection. Also, your daughter had it three years before and there is no charge of transmitting it now to you.
I think it is strep throat and you can use cefalosporin third generation or erythromycin since you are allergic to penicillin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
