Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node With Lynch Syndrome

I am a lynch syndrome patient and my Dr. Thinks my swollen lymph node that has been swollen after antibiotic now for 3mos could be cancer but now wants to runs an HIV test is this normal? I am prior military and married for 10yrs and a mother of a five yr old. so I have had HIV test but I am still of course paranoid. I have strong cancers on both mom and dad and lynch is on my dad side he is a 12 yr colon cancer survivor. So is the HIV test part of protocol for a swollen lymph node she ran more labs I had 9 tubes, and I have a follow up this upcoming Thursday. The node that is swollen is in my groin. I have been on bactrim with no success, the lump does not hurt at all, the only reason why I went is because I brought it up to my mom a few months ago and she has been naggin me to go.
