Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Face
my jaw hurts and I have swollen lymph nodes in my face. There is also a lot of swelling in my face, even around my eyes. I do not have fever. I finished my antibiotics yesterday and the symptoms are starting to come back again. I went to the ER over a week ago and they gave me a cat scan. They said the glands in my face were swollen and the lymph nodes in my lungs were swollen. They also said my lungs had shadowy spots. They tested me for rare auto immune disease that came back negative. I was given antibiotics to treat a lung infection and an infection in my jaw. what should I do next?
Hello and welcome to HCM, The swelling on the face - whether lymph nodes or glands need to be investigated. I suggest you to get an aspiration cytology of the swollen lymph nodes or glands. Aspiration cytology is an investigation wherein the nature of swelling whether lymph node or gland and its character - non-neoplastic or neoplastic will be known. After knowing the nature of swellings, appropriate treatment modalities can be planned. The shadowy spots in lung also need to be investigated with suitable investigatory means.
