Hello,

Swollen lymph nodes are not necessarily a problem. They could stay swollen for up to 6 months after a nonspecific viral infection and is called reactive lymphadenitis. After 6 months, if this persists, or worsens you could consider getting an ultrasound done.

In the meantime, do not worry yourself and undergo multiple tests for the same. It is a slippery slope with hundreds of possible investigations, each getting you more worried. So, in the meantime, relax. If you have an active infection, get that treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
