Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymphatic Tissues In The Neck
Hi my 7 year old son has had cobblestone in his throat for months now I took him to the doctor a few times about it and they really don t do much I am at a lose on what to do he complains it hurts when he swallows and don t want to eat due to the bumps in his throat...what could I do
Bumps in neck are due to enlargement of lymph nodes in neck. Neck lymph nodes are usually enlarged due to local infection. These nodal swellings usually take time to resolve completely even after clearance of infection. Advice 1. Hot fomentation with slight warm water every 6 hours 2. Cefixime 50 mg every 12 hours per oral daily for 7 days 3. Ibuprofen 200 mg per oral after meal if pain occurs If after 7 days course of cefixime, your neck swelling does not resolve then a. get done Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) of lymph node b. CBC c. Hb% d. ESR e. Chest X – ray PA view I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question Thanks
