Suggest Treatment For Swollen, Red, Dry And Burning Lips

54 y/o male. Lips swollen/red/burning. Inside of mouth normal. Started in January. Initially thought it was secondary to the flavored chapstix products. Stopped those. Took Benedryl..used blistex product.. after apx. 3 weeks it got better. Started again over past 10 days. Same symptoms. Swollen/red/burning/dry feeling. Only using Blistex or Carmex with no relief. No change in soaps, toothpaste or any face product. No change in current medications.Totally stumped. Any thoughts?

Dry lips are usually seen due to change in weather.

Its good that you are applying vaseline.

Home remedies like application of butter also helps.

Avoid lip smacking, it actually increases the severity.

I would like to know, if you are taking any other medication for any disease.

Lip fissuring is a common side effect of many drugs.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
