Suggest Treatment For Swollen Supraclavicular Lymph Node
Hello and thank you. My left supraclavicular lymph node has been swollen for about 10 weeks. No infection urine and blood test done. About the size of a quarter not painful but in the same area 2 more lymph nodes are swelling, they are painful and seam to be coming together to make one big one. My sister recently was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Lymphoma in the family, breast cancer and a few other s. Seen in ER advised to follow up with a doctor if continues. They were not concerned. Should I be concerned?
Hello and thank you for your question. The left supraclavicular nodes drain the thoracic duct, abdomen and thorax. The findings you describe are very concerning for cancer or lymphoma. Please see a doctor for evaluation of your chest and abdomen as soon as possible. This could be serious, do not ignore these findings. See a doctor soon. best regards, Dr. Robinson
